Members of the Juventus Club DOC Malta Cuore Bianconero, led by the club’s President Omar Busuttil, and Secretary General Jean Borg, Saturday afternoon met with the Italian Magpies.
The Italian Magpies are Italian nationals who support Notts County and Juventus, hence strengthening the historical relationship between the two clubs. Present for this meeting, yesterday Notts County were represented by Andy Black and his wife, Lisa.
Juventus’ relationship with notts County dates back to 1903, when Notts County’s directors responded to John Savage’s appeal for a set of kits to be lent to Juventus. Notts gave the Italians their black and white striped shirts, which are still used as the official colours to date.
Juventus and Notts County renewed their relationship in September 2011, when the oldest active professional club in the world was invited to a friendly match inaugurating the Juventus Stadium.
